BBC Children in Need
Maxi Fun Club are pleased to announce that we have been successful with our Children in Need grant.
This means we are able to continue with our regular activities of swimming, bowling, indoor play, soft play session and with our Splash Zone and Swimming at Bridlington Leisure Centre.
While it is still not possible for us to safely restart our bowling, Big Fun and softplay sessons due to COVID-19, we are hoping to restart our Friday night family swimon Friday 23rd October 2020.
Unfortunately with Coronavirus (COVID-19) continuing to impact our day to day lives, our Friday night family swim is going to be different for quite a while.
We have met with Haltemprice Leisure Centre and completed a risk assessment prior to us restarting our Friday night family swimming.
We appreciate that some of our members may still not want to consider returning to our Friday night family swim and we fully understand and respect why this would be the case.
We have never in all of our years of running the Friday night family swimming session required you to book to attend this session or limit the numbers that can attend. Unfortunately we now have to introduce BOOKING ONLY via email to firstname.lastname@example.org and set a limit to a maximum of SIX families for each Friday session during these current circumstances.

We are a group of parents who were having trouble accessing
family leisure activities for our disabled children and their brothers and sisters, so we decided to set up our own group.
We needed our children to have the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of interests and activities, but found that inclusive activities often were too noisy, too busy (some of our children have enormous difficulty with the concept of waiting!) too rough or simply not ability appropriate.
So we decided to organise our own!
